Combining "Princess Kaguya" from *The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter*, Japan’s oldest story, with "Tsukuyomi-no-Mikoto," the ancient deity of the moon, "Tsukuyomi no Kaguyahime" reimagines these two figures through their shared symbol—the moon—as envisioned in the unique world of SOW INOUE.

The shakudo-colored moon floating in the background symbolizes the boundary between the earth and the moon. At the feet of the princess, adorned in a twelve-layered ceremonial kimono, golden dragon clouds are arranged to express her nature as a celestial being.

Symbolizing this piece is the "Earth" the princess holds tenderly in her hands. Her posture embodies the fate of having to return to the moon alongside her feelings for the people of Earth, representing a love and memory that never fades, no matter how great the distance.

The front features the words "KAGUYA / THE SILENT MOON" simply and quietly placed, balancing the impact of the back design. It is an alternative tale of "Princess Kaguya," thinking of Earth from the moon.
