Shinden was a prototype interceptor developed by the Imperial Japanese Navy in the final days of World War II to counter American B-29 bombers.
With its forward-mounted cannons, rear pusher propeller, and advanced canard configuration, the aircraft represented one of the most innovative fighter designs of its era.

However, the war ended during its test flight program, and the aircraft never entered combat.
After the war, its advanced engineering attracted international attention and was later studied in the United States, earning recognition worldwide for its remarkable design.

Today, a full-scale replica is exhibited at the Tachiarai Peace Memorial Museum in Fukuoka, Japan.
The aircraft also gained renewed attention through the film “Godzilla Minus One,” where it appeared as the aircraft flown by the protagonist.

This piece pays tribute to the craftsmanship and the visionary engineers who pushed the boundaries of aviation.
